Redesign of support.spotify.com & community.spotify.com

Client – Spotify

Working with an international team we redesigned support.spotify.com & community.spotify.com to increase usability, decrease contact rates to Spotify support channels, and better represent brand values.

My role: Product Designer

Team: 1 product manager, 2 designers, 1 ux designer, 1 copy writer, 2 front end developers

Spotify Community

The community was already an established forum of several thousand users. The aim of the redesign was to make it an easier and more exciting place to be without alienating its existing user-base.

Gamified elements of the community were to be highlighted and celebrated to create a positive feedback loop and build healthy competition between two contributors to climb to the top of the leader boards.

Prototyping and qualitative feedback were key in the development of the site.
Since the redesign, contact rates to Spotify support have decreased and it has played a key role as an educational and self serve tool.
